Typically when "quilted" is used as a selling point it involves a completely different type of product. And although this jacket is soft & strong, it's purpose is to protect you in a different manner altogether. All joking aside, this vest is great when worn over a shirt or when zipped into several of Barbour's waxed cotton outerwear pieces for an extra layer of warmth.
